NAD M10V2 is not recognized as an AirPlay-speaker and in the BluOS-app just temporarily after a reboot
AnsweredI have a new NAD M10 V2 and the problem that the BluOS controller app only recognizes it for a certain time after the M10 has been rebooted and that it is not recognized as an AirPlay speaker on iOS devices. After trying to set up the M10 several times yesterday without success, I removed the M10 V2 in the network settings of my Fritzbox today. Then I restarted the Fritzbox. Then I uninstalled the BluOS controller app and reset the M10 to the factory settings. Then I reinstalled the app and set up the M10 again. This time it worked immediately with the setup including AirPlay. I always assigned the same IP address to the M10 in the router settings. On my iPhone at work and on my iPad, the M10 was then also shown as an AirPlay speaker. But not on my private iPhone 11 Pro. I first reset the network settings on this and then reset the entire iPhone. The M10 is still not showing up as an AirPlay speaker. And: Now no longer on my iPhone at work or iPad. So it only worked once on these devices for a short time. In the BluOS controller app, the M10 was recognized normally shortly after the above reinstallation. 15 minutes later, however, no longer. The M10 then has to be rebooted so that it can be displayed in the app again. On my iMac, the M10 did not initially appear in the speaker selection. Not even in the Spotify app. After I started the Spotify app once via the BluOS app, the M10 appeared relatively constantly in the Spotify app. On my iMac, the M10 appeared as an AirPlay speaker for a brief period. In the meantime, however, it no longer appears on the iMac. During the whole time I have not switched off the M10 (neither via the remote control nor on the M10 itself). Of course, he went into standby mode himself. I have a Fritzbox 7490 and a mesh repeater from Fritz, via which the M10 is connected to the WLAN. All devices (M10, iOS devices, routers, repeaters) are up to date with the latest software. Does anyone here have any ideas?

Hi Olaf
Frtitzboxes are notoriously glitchy for Smart technologies and do not support Multicast very well. Please check with your ISP to ensure your settings support multicast which is required for most Smart IoT Appliances such as the BluOS powered NAD M10. You can also select Help, Send Support Request in the BluOS App to arrange for some 1:1 troubleshooting as we have had more than a few encounters with FrtitzBoxes and can assist with some tips and tricks specific to your environment.

It is sad, that you should be a network specialist to play Thunderstrack from AC/DC. I have the same problem with zyxel network and components. M10 V2 is not recognizeable for other devices on the network, even if there are all permissions assigned. Furthermore, it is bugging me, that it can download the upgrade pack for itself and install, but then it is only available in bluetooth mode. Is there an option to use full function without this bluos app, even with any mobile device just the NAD itself?

Hi Netudd
ZyXel routers are know for their high security preferences. Please consult your ZyXel documentation as by default mDNS Multicast and other IoT or Smart Product requirement protocols are disabled by default. You will have to enable or add them in.
