Intermittent signal loss when using an external DAC

I connected my Bluesound Node 2 to a Wyred4Sound DAC 2 DSD (no MQA) via SPDIF. After connecting and changing the settings in BluOS, I have intermittent signal drops. Removed the external DAC from the mix and no signal drops at all. I believe someone added a iFi Audio S/PDIF iPurifier2 and had success. Any thoughts on what might be happening?

  Hi Skip

  The only setting in BluOS is to enable the external DAC that does support MQA. Since you suggest your DAC does not support MQA, there is no setting change required. Please contact your external DAC manufacturer for assistance.
