    Hi Michel

If a reboot resolved the issue, likely not a bug but something that was already in the queue (in RAM). I will however send this to Quality Assurance for review.

Oke thx. Yesterday I also noticed a different problem, but quite similar. The Powernode was on ‘play’ for several ours in the blu-os app. Input tv via hdmi. When starting the tv, no sound occurs. I guess Dolby was not recognized correctly. After pause and play again in the app the amp came from standby en started the sound. This time a restart was not necessary. The 1.5 month before the latest firmware I’ve never had issues like this.

I have the same issue, manly on the HDMI input. After been using my node 2, the HDMI input is looses the sound. Only way to fix it is the reboot the node.

Same here! My girlfriend bought a POWERNODE N330 the day before New Year's Eve because the HiFi-dealer and I convinced her that Bluesound devices are rock-solid regarding software and easy to use. Yesterday evening she watched TV on her SAMSUNG television which is connected via HDMI-ARC to the POWERNODE. This morning she called me that she cannot listen to the TV sound and any source anymore. Even music stored on a local USB-stick didn't provide sound. Unplugging and replugging the power cord helped.

I read on Reddit that there are several other people with SAMSUNG TV's having this issue. So apparently this is a communication problem via HDMI-ARC protocol between the SAMSUNG TV's and the Bluesound devices equipped with HDMI-ARC interface.

I told her that we can temporarily solve this issue by connecting the TV via Toslink. However she was so frustrated this morning (as she's not technical versed) that she even wanted to go to the dealer and bring it back to exchange it with a Rega brio (entirely analogue device).

So please, hurry up to solve this issue!

    Cheers, Oliver

    Hi Oli

If in your Bluesound NODE, under settings, player, Customise Sources, HDMI, auto-sense is enabled (which it should be for CEC to work), the issue you are seeing is CEC control in the Samsung TV. Meaning the Samsung TV is not sending a signal to wake the NODE, or some other device connected via HDMI is hijacking the signal. Check your Samsung TV documentation to ensure the NODE is plugged into the one HDMI port designated by the TV for ARC and the Samsung TV is on the latest firmware.

    Hi Tony,

there‘s only the SAMSUNG TV via its HDMI-ARC designated port directly connected to the POWERNODE N330 (no further equipment in the HDMI chain). The N330 correctly switches to the HDMI input if another source is playing and I switch on the TV. However after waking up from sleep the next morning no signal at all was heard (all sources w/o sound and sound level indicator in the mid position). After unplugging and re plugging the power cord, sound was immediately on. Somehow the TV broke the functionality of the POWERNODE during the night. Had this issue twice so far and I doubt it has something to do with the TV (sound output is set to HDMI with PCM and as I mentioned the N330 switches automatically to HDMI-ARC input when the I switch the TV on with its remote control. An intermediate workaround is using Toslink but frankly that’s not what we want in the long run.

    Kind regards, Oliver

Still having the same issues. Today needed to restart twice after sleep… Restart button is quite hard to find (options/help…). No input or services gives sound. So annoying for especially family members who just want to watch tv or start spotify without the Bluos app. Can we expect an update fix?

I’m having this same issue with a brand new NAD C 700 (BluOS 3.16.1).

It is only connected to HDMI ARC and Spotify. When woken from sleep, the screen will say that content is playing, even though there is no sound (the needles move for HDMI ARC and Spotify album artwork shows).

TV is a B8 LG TV and the NAD is connected to the HDMI ARC port with PCM and CEC is enabled.

If I force a reboot, everything works. I just got the device so I don’t know if this is a version issue.

This is pretty unacceptable for a brand new device. I’m still within the return window and strongly thinking about returning if not resolved.

Happy to provide any logs or do any troubleshooting to resolve. I have also submitted a ticket via a Support Request as well.

Any update here? Having same issue. LG connected via hdmi arc for playing TV sound on external speakers.

Works fine typically for 2 days or so. Then at tv startup no tv sound on speakers. Also no tunein or spotify, just nothing works.

Did already factory reset but not solved the issue.

Please help cause very annoying. Now just using tv speakers...
