Why is it impossible to sort playlists?

I really do not understand why you have fixed sorting for playlists? How am I supposed to sort the songs in a different way? Is it months in work of an entire department to implement sorting - Hell NO!

Where is the problem then? 

Imported Deezer playlists are sorted by date of the song added ascending. That means that all of my favorite songs which I am constantly adding every day are at the very bottom of the playlist... who wants their NEW songs to be at the bottom guys? Please, WAKE UP!

 

This and the lack of song search within a playlist are BY FAR the biggest issues of BluOS! FIX Them!

 

For the love of GOD do not reply with the default answer of sorting the play queue! That is a damn insult!

    I was speaking with our project managers on this very topic earlier this week. We are looking into it and hope to prioritise this.

    I guess if it was possible it would've been implemented already but can't you replicate the sorting from within the the app itself? You are constantly querying the playlist from the provider e.g. Deezer because I can see it when scrolling the list. I'd just do my sorting there and be happy with it.

    BluOS Lists are proprietary so they can be replicated to other devices. There is a utility to back up your playlists (for disaster recovery purposes). It is also well to note most M3U playlists are based in reference to their location in a file path - so refer to a relative file path so if exported, have to be exported with the files themselves too.

    Over all, I am really impressed by the quality of my new node in many aspects, but I must agree to all the other users who posted here: How can you neglect a very very basic feature this way? The sequence of music titles is an essential feature. Can you imagine listening to Abbey Road in alphabetical order? How ignorant that would be! And: Sorting a table by different columns, ascending or descending is not witchcraft. It is a basic skill for everybody who claims to be a programmer. Please get going an don't spoil the good work that other people did on this very good product! Thank you!

    I see that the request has now been filed a year ago. Can you let me know if it will still be implemented? For me it is a very important function. Friends of mine do not purchase Bluesound purely because it is not possible to sort / search playlists. I also don't understand why it's not a basic function.

    I too need a sort function for playlists (as well as the ability to search the playlist.) is anything being done to accomplished this?
