    I would remove power fully for five minutes and try again, if this does not help can you try a different input on your amp / DAC and if possible another optical lead.

    beyond that log a support ticket, from the Bluesound App select Help…Send Support Request.

    In addition to Seppi's advice, I would also test with a brand new optical cable. May be that your current cable sustained some damage

    EDIT: Seppi already advised that too, my bad!

    Thanks for the suggestions. The distorted sound was also present on the analog output. I basically only use Roon but tested the BlueOS app, there was no distortion. I finally found the problem. Removed the folders from network sharing in BlueOS.
