I recently purchased a Bluesound Node from Crutchfield. I've connected it to my Samsung 50" Class using a new HDMI eARC cable running from the Samsung TV HDMI e-ARC port (#3 on the Samsung) to the Bluesound Node HDMI e-ARC port. The Bluesound Node is also connected via RCA cables to my Rotel RX 1052 Receiver (which is only 2 channel and not surround sound).
I can play 2-channel TV audio through my receiver and speakers, but when I turn the TV on I get an error message that states: "Receiver (HDMI-eARC) - Your audio device is connected to a port that does not support ARC. Please connect your device to the HDMI3 (ARC) port." However, the Bluesound Node IS connected to the HDMI3 (ARC) port. Although audio is playing through my receiver and speaker system, I'm wondering why I get the error message and if the audio is e-ARC quality?
