I would like the ability to open up the app on my phone and play through the phones speaker

  Hi Randy

  The BluOS App is merely a remote control to your BluOS Players and has no playback ability. Please use the App that is specific to your subscription service when away from your BluOS Players. For local content, The VAULT can dual encode your CDs for lossless audio when listening locally and also create a second MP3 version you can upload to your phone. Check out the encoding settings of your VAULT under Settings, Music Library to do this.
