Pulse Soundbar+: Dolby Atmos on Tidal and Netflix
AnsweredHow can I tell if I'm actually streaming content with Dolby Atmos? The icon displayed in BluOS Controller is still MQA for Tidal. I would have thought it would display the Dolby icon. For Netflix, the menu displays 5.1 still on content that should be available in Dolby Atmos. I've followed steps suggested by Netflix to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hello Brendon,
Tap on the Now Playing Window and the Dolby Icon would appear along the bottom of the BluOS App when playing Dolby content to your SOUNDBAR.
I would recommend testing this with non-Atmos Dolby content to ensure you are getting Dolby decoding on your SOUNDBAR+.

Thank you. I choose content from Dolby Atmos search in Tidal. The Dolby icon appears next to the playlist, track, or album on the Tidal app but not the BluOS Microsoft or Android apps, and when I select it and stream it to the soundbar, in the "now playing" screen it shows MQA with the green dot in BluOS controller (both android and microsoft apps) and shows the golden bar for MQA on the Tidal android app.
There is no Dolby icon showing in BluOS. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thank you.

Apologies for the misunderstanding, allow me to explain in detail. Dolby can only be decoded via the inputs on the SOUNDBAR; in other words, Dolby decode via BluOS streaming is not possible. For example playing Atmos titles from TIDAL integrated would not work or would revert to the highest available playable format (looks like MQA in this track's case). This would still be the case once Dolby Atmos decode is released on the SOUNDBAR+ (however, you SOUNDBAR+ should still be decoding Dolby content over HDMI).
