    Hi Michael

It is a network issue as it is likely your network router address table has been corrupted. In fact, the constant rebooting of your NODE is probably aggravating it. This is an easy fix though. Reboot your router, wait 5 minutes then reboot your players. In fact, you should get in the habit of rebooting your router once a month to prevent this from happening (like clearing network browser cache).

Thanks for the reply, however, this does not explain why the other Airplay capable devices (for example, Sonos, Apple TV) works perfect in the same room, with the same router. Why only node 2i suffer this issue.

And I am having 2 node 2i in the same room, both of them are now suffering exactly the same issue: reboot to make airplay work.

    Thoughts? Thanks.

Yes, router has been restarted too, but still no help.

I also have these issues with AirPlay. For me it's Pulse 2i, Flex 2i and Soundbar +. Only a restart of the bluesound equipment helps. And thanks Seppi for the tips, but Bluesound itself advises against many of these settings. Other devices do not have the same problems on my network with AirPlay.

Not sure where you got that impression... if you are talking about Band Steering or Dual Bands.. that is only for Gen2 products which do not support 5Ghz and also do not support AirPlay.
