Bluesound app: add a headphones / analog out toggle switch for Node
AnsweredThe way it is now is that when headphones are plugged in the analoge output to my amplifier is disabled. Analoge out to amp is enabled only when I physically remove the headphones plug. This means if I want to switch between listening via amp + speakers or via headphones I have to get out of my lazy chair and plug the headphones cable in, or out.
Assuming, and hoping, that the analog output is not routed via a hardware switch inside the headphones connector (?) the feature request is to have a software switch in the BlueOS app via which one can choose if the signal goes to the analog out or to the headphones, or why not even to both. This way I can leave my headphones always plugged in and switch between amp + speakers or headphones out of my lazy chair.

Hello Rudy,
I will pass this feedback on to our BluOS Development team. Thanks for reaching out!
Though as it currently is designed, certain features are removed when using headphones connected (such as Fixed Volume); this is done as a safety precaution. General safety usage will need to also be taken into consideration for this feature.

Thanks Sam, it's appreciated.
I have no idea what happened to the title of this thread ... it should have read something like "Bluesound app: add a headphones / analog out toggle switch for Node".
EDIT: I was still able to change the title, so that's what I did.

No worries, my brain just applied its auto-correct on the the title on its own. Funny how it does that.
Did you notice the second 'the'?
