Why not a Windows Store app?

Why is the controller app not a Windows Store app? I got a real sense of the 1990s when I had to visit a site to download an exe to update the app. Then when running the upgrade, I get the warning of this not being a Microsoft-verified app.

Any plans to make this a Windows app?

  I haven't seen many requests for a Windows store app, but rest assured that I'll pass this feedback to our BluOS Dev team for future consideration.

  Hi, any news so for on this topic.

  As app updates appear periodically, this seems like a sensible thing to do.

  On all ohter platforms it's provided through a store
