Library of files from NAS not in sync across devices (NAD C368 w/MDC 2i + two Flex's)
AnsweredI have a NAD C368 with a MDC BluOS 2i console and two Pulse Flex speakers.
I have tens of thousands of files on a NAS. The Library on the BluOS app is not in sync across these three devices. By that I mean if I add an album to the NAS, and then I do a 'reindex music collection' the new album is only added to the library on the device I started the reindex from.
Is there a way around this so I don't have to re-index three times every time I add some music?
My re-index on the NAD seemed to not work properly as the album artwork doesn't show (although still shows on the 'un-re-indexed' Flex's libraries!). So I attempted to do a complete 'rebuild index' (from the HELP->DIAGNOSTICS menu) on the NAD C368, and it does not complete. It seems to freeze up and abandon the build after some time. What seems to happen is that after a few thousand files (not sure how many as it's a lot of files to index so I can't watch it the whole time - takes hours), the build is stopped and the NAD C368 player no longer appears under 'players' and I have to turn it off and on again to get it show up.
What can I do to ensure the NAD can complete the rebuild?
thanks

Hi James,
BluOS devices replicate the library across devices so something is amiss.
Try turning off the optimise artwork option and try another rebuild index. If possible run this on a Bluesound device that is connected by Ethernet as it’s much faster, perhaps you could temporarily move a Flex closer to your Router to do this?
If this does not help log a support ticket with Bluesound, from the Help Menu, send support request. This will include the logs so they find out what’s causing this.

Thanks, just trying a rebuild index on one of the Flex speakers connected by Ethernet with Optimise Artwork switched off. If this works (will update when it's completed) - do I need to keep the optimise artwork switched off permanently?
