What does selecting Roon Ready as the Local Source in BluOS do exactly?

Can't find any details about what selecting "Roon Ready" as the Local Source does in BluOS.

I have a Roon Server and it works as expected with by NAD M10, Bluesound Powernode N330 and Pulse speaker.

Does selecting Roon Ready as the Local Source offer anything additional?

  If the player detects the ROON Server, that source should pop up in the App, though clicking the source within the app doesn't begin playback -- it essentially acts as feedback to inform the user that the ROON Server is found.
