App loses connection with amplifier
AnsweredHi everyone,
new to these forums. After some research I decided to invest in bluesound a couple of months ago and wow, it's given me so much headaches since. Not at all the smooth, user friendly and stable experience I was hoping for and, quite frankly, expecting.
So for a start I bought a pulse mini 2i for our kitchen and also an MDC module for the NAD C388 amplifier I already had in the living room. Plan was to expand further with another pulse mini 2 in the bedroom, connect a streamer to the audiophile room and also some sort of set up in the outdoor area. But if I'm gonna keep on with bluesound I'm really gonna have to solve all those issues I have and I'm hoping that maybe you can help.
Let's start with the first one. The bluesound app (using iphone) loses connection with the NAD-receiver within hours of hooking them up. It just disappears from the app. When I go "add new player" the app gives me some extremely irritating advice to go search for my player in the wifi settings. Never had any luck with this in the 100 or so times I tried, as usual it just shows whatever wifis are available in the neighbourhood.
Easiest thing to do is to reboot bluesound on the receiver and reinstall the player, then it'll work for a couple of hours or so before it disappears again. Obviously not what you're expecting from a relatively expensive wireless setup and crawling on my knees in front of the amplifier is not the first thing you want to do every day when you get home from work.
Any advices?
My computer/network skills are limited and I've already had a guy here changing out or routers and installing some sort of "mesh" network trying to fix the issues. After that it's been.. different, but still extremely fragile and frustrating overall.
