External DAC / Equalizer for Powernode

Hi Gordon
Thanks for your feedback - the POWERNODE does not have pre-outs. You cannot connect external hardware to it other than your passive loudspeakers.
The NODE however is a passive streamer and allows for external DACs as an option.

Hi Gordon, a hardware EQ is for use on line level signals, if you send the speaker output to a EQ it would probably destroy the EQ and could even cause damage to the POWERNODE.
If you want to use a hardware equaliser then you would have to use a Bluesound NODE along with a separate amplifier.
However if you invested in Roon, using software you can adjust EQ and send the audio to a POWERNODE as a Roon “end point” This would however require a device suitable as a Roon server along with a license for Roon.
Edit… TonyW beat me to it

Hey Guys, thanks for your very quick Responses. Your Support- and Update-Philosophy is really good.
So i would like to test Roon, but in my Case my Synology NAS is only one of the home-User Devices without an I3 CPU, so i think it's not an good Idea to invest my Money in there. Are there any Plans to give your EQ more Settings in the near Future ? I think that would be great for a lot of Node/Powernode Users 😊.1 -
Hi,
Supporting this. More/better EQ options would be highly (highly) appreciated by the vast majority of Bluesound users who have selected Bluesound gears for the Hi-fi/Better than Sonos approach.
Hoping it should be doable at a relatively limited cost and will be considered at some point
