AirPlay 2 crackling noise with Node 2i

Last year I purchased a Node 2i. Despite loving the sound quality, I returned it because, I mainly used it with AirPlay 2, and with this setting Node used to make annoying crackling noise (similar to vinyl noise). The support team couldn’t fix my issue. I experienced this issue with 2 different Node 2i devices, so it didn’t seemed to be unit issue. Now, that the 3rd gen came, I was wondering if anyone could share their experience with AirPlay 2, if they used the new device or experience the same thing with the old device. I suspect issue was related to AirPlay chip used in the device.
