USB Connectivity issue with M12
AnsweredThe USB connected external hard drive (unpowered) looses its connection as soon as the M12 goes into standby mode. I have a Node2 and a Powernode. Both of these never loose the connection. I have 5000 albums on the hard drive, and it takes 30 or so minutes to reindex. How do I prevent the M12 from loosing sight of the hard drive?

Hi Chuck
If you have 3 BluOS Players, you are better off having a proper Local Library - check your main router and see if it accommodates a USB drive attached to work as a NAS or look into a proper Network Attached Storage Device. Check out this Support Request article to see why; https://support.bluos.net/hc/en-us/articles/360000465747

Thanks for a prompt reply, though it did not address the issue. My Node2 has been retired. My Powernode lives in the garage, is not hard wired into the lan and is sourced by an external hard drive.
I have a NAS which is sourcing my pop music, and want to keep my classical music on a separate source - the USB drive, for ease of use issues.
So the question remains, how do I prevent the M12 from losing the USB drive index whenever it goes into standby mode?
