Vault ——> Vault2i, is it an improvement?

Dear Bluesound,

Question 1,

I’ve a old Blue Sound Vault player (2017), is it an improvement for me to buy a new Vault2i ?

I’am using the Accuphase MDSD digital processor DC-37 in combination with the old Vault2 player, so the DAC of the new Vaultplayer2i is not from any important. 

Question 2,

Can I put the backup I made from the old Vault2 player to the new Vault2i ?

It wil be a lot of work to do all my 1500 cd’s again.

    Hi Bronstring

    Your VAULT 2 was introduced in 2015 and updated in late 2018 with the 2i model - this is the same model available today.

    There are 3 major differences between the 2 models that we added with the 2i lineup;

    • Apple AirPlay Support
    • Improved Bluetooth from AptX to AptX-HD Support
    • 2 way Bluetooth to allow for BT Headphones to be paired wirelessly

    All audio performance is identical. If the additional 2i features matter to you, yes your VAULT 2 backup from the built-in backup utility will restore to your updated 2i.
