Node Coax Output Incorrect Bit Depth

Hi Brian, there have been no firmware updates since June for the NODE so I would firstly remove the power from the Node and DAC for at least five minutes and try again. Then I would try another lead (to test just use one side of an interconnect), also try a different input on the DAC. If you have CD player still or DVD player with digital coaxial out you could test the DAC to see what bitrate shows.

Sorry can’t help with the Sub issue but after trying the above it would be best to log a support ticket with Bluesound. From the Bluesound App select Help…Send Support Request.

    Hi Seppi -

Thank you for your reply.  I unplugged both the Node and the RME-ADI2 DAC for at least five minutes.  No change.

Unfortunately I don't have a CD or DVD player to test.  Also... another lead?  You are recommending using one side of an RCA interconnect for what?  In place of the 75ohm digital cable connecting the Node --> RME ADI-2 DAC?

The USB input on the DAC is functioning fine.  Passes the bit test when fed the test signal through over USB.

I created a support request in app but have not seen an acknowledgment of receipt.

Yes exactly this, just to test.

Gotcha - just tried the swap - plays fine - same behavior though - SR switches appropriately on both 24/16 .. but the Bit Depth does not switch 16/24 - also still fails bit test

Hi Brian, good testing, best to wait for Bluesound to look at the logs.

@Seppi Evans How can your posts be marked as official answer if you don‘t work for Bluesound?

Paul it’s not just me other users get marked as such, no doubt it’s when the post contains the same or similar response that Bluesound would have given.
