Samplerate switching causing beginning of tracks to be cut off
AnsweredWhen outputting from the Node 2i using a digital connection I've noticed that sometimes the first second or two of the next tracking is cut off.
I've come to realise that this is actually caused by the fact that the Node 2i is able to switch from one track at one sample rate/bit depth to another track at another sample rate/bit depth faster than my DAC is able to switch. ie. Track1 is 44.1/16 and Track2 is 88.2/24.
Is anyone aware of any setting that would allow me to slow this down or at least pause for a second after the next track has been loaded but before it has started playing to prevent this issue from occurring?
Thanks

Hi Nick
We have seen this on certain model external DACs, we have also seen where other certain models of DACs you may get a tick or pop. There is nothing we can do in BluOS to avoid it. You will need to contact the external DAC manufacturer as the vast majority of DACs do not have either problem.

I am also having this problem with an external DAC, the Denafrips Ares II. I don't get any pops/ticks thankfully. I have seen that Roon has an adjustable "resync delay", which sounds like a great solution to this issue. Just some extra dead time before the actual song starts. I find it hard to believe it's not possible for BluOS to implement this sort of feature.
