HD sound with e-ARC
AnsweredHello,
What would be your advice to connect these items and benefit from HD sound (Dolby atmos and so on): blu-Ray driver (pana UB820) + LCD TV + Blue sound system (soundbar pulse+, sub+ + 2 flex 2i)?
I want to change my old TV and have a real5.1 HD sound from the Pulse+ soundbar.
How many HDMI e-ARC slots do you need on the TV to do this? I suppose you have to send the signal from the blu ray HDMi to the e-ARC TV input, then need another e-ARC output of the TV to the soundbar? Is it possible to operate with only one e-ARC slot in the TV?
If you had a box (Nvidia shield,....) you need another e-ARC input on the TV to make it work?
I did not see LCD screen with 3 or more HDMi e-ARC slots! (HDMI 2.1 yes, like LG C1, but only one is e-ARC!)
Thank you for helping me!

Only one eARC is needed. The pulse+ plugs into this and then you create a home theatre group with the other speakers.
All the other devices (blue-ray, Nvidia shield) send their audio directly to the TV in normal HDMI ports, but do not need the ARC (audio return channel)
