BlueSound Node (new Gen 3) Ethernet connectivity issue
Answered(Full disclosure, working with Jon at Bluesound on this issue). Can anyone give advice on how to successfully connect Node to ethernet. My wifi connection is strong, but when I plug ethernet cable in, BLUOS app on ipad Pro can't find unit at all. Unplug unit, remove ethernet cable, wifi signal (good to excellent) found again and unit is functional. Would like to have functionality and reliabity of ethernet. I have connected other devices to the same line (AT&T) Router to Netgear Gigabit 5 port switch to Bluesound. Has anyone else had ethernet connectivity issues (with this product line or past generations) and how did you resolve?

If it works fine on WiFi and based on your equipment, it sounds like the ethernet switch may blocking Multicast which is needed by the Bluesound player to be discovered. If its a managed switch, you should be able to adjust some setting that relates to this.
That or the ethernet switch has a different IP subnet, but more likely the former scenario.

Sam, thanks for your input. I have already tried bypassing the Netgear switch and plugging directly into the back of the AT&T router... crickets! I have a Andover Songbird streamer and a MOON ACE and neither had an issue connecting in the same spot with the same equipment and routing through Netgear switch. Same Cat 6 cable.

This is a bit of a longshot - but have you tried a Cat5 cable with the Bluesound player? They are compatible with Cat6, but I have before seen the case where switching to a Cat5 actually works where a Cat6 didn't
