Terminology related to BluOS and Node
AnsweredI have been using the Node 2i for several years and still get confounded by the terminology. It would be great if someplace you explain the terms you use. What is a Player? What is a Drawer? If you are going to use terms in novel ways, it would be a big help to explain them. Is the Player the Node? Or is the Player the audio source, like a networked drive? I keep having to call support to deal with the same problem - which is that the IP address for a remove drive changes any time i have to disconnect and re-connect the drive. And each time it happens I am unable to get the system to find the new drive so I try and use your instructions to figure it out and get confounded by the terminology.

A Player is simply a Bluesound hardware device that plays music, such as a Node, Vault, or one of the speaker devices like a Pulse.
The drawer is the Navigation draw in the App, the one on the left hand side that you open for more items. Think of them as music or support drawers, so one would contain Tidal, another Deezer and another Help items etc.
As for IP address changing, the best way is to find out how to set IP reservations on your router, this way they will always stay the same and probably the most important thing to ensure stability.

thanks. In the meantime, while i figure out how to set IP reservations i need to figure out how to get the BluOS to recognize my networked music drive (again).
