Several questions: Can the 2i be connected to Digital Coax and RCA at the same time?

I'm wanting to do some comparisons between the connection. 

Also, the new Node (3) has the eARC, does this mean you can use an HDMI cable instead of the RCA, TOSLINK, or Digital Coax? If so, do you believe this to be a better connection compared to the others?
