Vault 2 Issue

All,

My player has just turned 5 years old....a few hiccups over its lifetime.  A few weeks ago I had the "dreaded" red light on the vault...I reset a few times to no avail.  Finally as it came up and inserted a CD which seems to have made the blue light come on.  The latest though is it comes on and plays a bit...then it starts blinking ...turns solid again then shuts down completely.  I have seen other postings whereby the capacitors have caused issue.  Could this be it ?  I noticed the Vault gets very hot...  I contacted Bluesound Support who says it cannot resolve the problem and gave a 20% discount to get a new component !. (Even a reconditioned one is $831!) Do I have to go this route ?  Also, if I do, how can I transfer all the CDs burned as there are at 300!  Any ideas, thoughts greatly appreciated.
