Node Icon Transient DC voltage spike
Using the Node icon as a pre amplifier connected to Audiolab power amplifier using 12v trigger cable. Icon always has power, when it comes out of standby & therefore turns on the power amplifier its output stages send a transient DC voltage spike to my amplifier which then becomes a pop from my speakers. Am concerned this might be damaging, does anyone have similar or had issue.

Whilst I don’t have the equipment you do I have had pop’s on many different amplifiers when powering on and this was way before Bluesound.
Try unplugging the Icon’s interconnects but not the trigger lead from the power amp. Then bring the Icon out of standby to wake the amp and see if you still get the pop.

Hi Seppi, thank you for your reply. I have removed all interconnects from the Audiolab 9000P & on switch on the pop is still there. I now know it’s nothing to do with the icon, am now trying to find out if this is normal behaviour of the Audiolab.
