BluOS Controller update on Windows caused device failure – player now blinking red/green, web interface returns 404
AnsweredHello BluOS Support Team,
I'm writing to report a serious issue that occurred after updating the BluOS Controller app on my Windows PC.
Summary of the problem:
I received a push notification on my Windows PC about a new version of the BluOS Controller app being available. I installed the update. After the update, my equipment stopped responding — the player opens, but none of the functions or buttons work.
Steps I have already taken:
-
I read the instructions on your website stating that in case of an error, a reboot or factory reset is recommended.
-
I performed a reboot first.
-
Then I performed a factory reset.
Current status:
-
After powering on, the player's LED indicator is blinking red and green. At first it was blinking rapidly, now it has slowed down.
-
The web version for connecting returns: 404 Not Found – The requested URL was not found.
-
The device still responds to ping.
Additional context:
I also found instructions stating that if an error occurs during an update, it's possible to request the firmware distribution file and update via a USB flash drive.
Could you please:
-
Provide the correct firmware distribution file for my device so I can update via USB.
-
Confirm the exact recovery procedure for my situation (red/green blinking LED + 404 on web interface).
-
Let me know if any additional information (serial number, model, logs) is needed from my side.
It's possible that I overlooked an existing solution to my issue in your knowledge base. If such a solution exists, I would appreciate it if you could point me to it.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards,
Nikita
