Newly purchased POWERNODE N331 – passive speaker outputs not working
AnsweredHello BluOS Support,
I purchased my POWERNODE N331 only a few days ago, and it has never provided proper audio playback through the passive speakers.
The player runs BluOS 4.16.22, connects to the network normally, responds to the BluOS app and shows a solid blue status LED. However, the passive speakers remain silent, while the powered subwoofer connected to RCA SUB OUT reproduces bass.
The issue occurs with both HDMI and internet radio through BluOS. The speakers are two Q Acoustics Concept 20 and a Q Acoustics Concept centre speaker.
I have already performed a factory reset, multiple power cycles including prolonged mains disconnection, and tests with only one passive speaker connected at a time, without resolving the issue.
The boot diagnostic log reports:
nad-codec 1-0039: ax5689 power on
nad-codec 1-0039: ax5689 read revision register failed: -6
nad-codec 1-0039: ax5689 power off
Mute is disabled and balance is centred. Amplifier Standby has also been disabled as a diagnostic trial. No firmware downgrade has been attempted, and the player reports no update available.
Please review the diagnostics and advise whether this indicates a hardware fault requiring replacement or a firmware initialization issue.
If firmware recovery or rollback could resolve this, please provide an official USB image specifically for the N331, with installation instructions and confirmation that it can be installed from version 4.16.22.
As the unit was purchased only a few days ago, I would appreciate your guidance on the quickest way to resolve the issue.
Kind regards,
Cosimo
