Schedule Reindex.
I moved to blu sound about 5 years ago. Since then I’ve seen little NEW of any use in the app. NO schedule to reindex. No ability to replace the playlist without stopping the current playing track. No ability to choose one or two tags or metadata items to display when playing. Eg. The year of track playing. It’s all about streaming services which many of us rarely use. Or am I very wrong and missing features? I’ll recheck. But ….. any new features coming for those still using a NAS to deliver.

To be fair, there have been improvements. Dirac was added for those on new-ish devices, Qobuz Connect was added (albeit in a delayed fashion and after much screaming from the community), DSD support has been improved (auto conversion up to DSD256), Queue builder mode, support for new devices, stability improvements after a rough 4.0 release, etc. Overall though I have to agree with you that progress has been glacial at times and there are still many opportunities to make BluOS better.
For example, for a multi room platform that is meant to be used by more than one household member, I still don't understand why there is no multi-user option so that we can have per user favourites, app customisations, individual connections to streaming services that support family plans, etc.
