Android controller not showing playing content when playback started by alarm
AnsweredThe Android controller app is bugged since the recent update (approx. a month ago)
The main issue I have with it is that when playback is started by an alarm on the device the app no longer shows the playing content, it instead shows "Nothing queued - Go find something to play". The only way to control playback is to start playing something else in the controller app, and then pause that. This happens ~80% of the time when an alarm goes off.
The device with the alarms scheduled is a PowerNode Edge.
I've also noticed that players now regularly "forget" the last played content and show "Nothing queued - Go find something to play" instead.
I've tried reinstalling the Android app but the issue persists and is very annoying - I'm really surprised no-one else has reported it.

Hi Balio, another user here and you are correct t not seen any other similar posts over the past month.
The BluOS App not refreshing correctly is often caused by local networking issues, as a first step power off the EDGE and reboot your router and any mesh / APs used. Then wait five minutes for the router to be fully up and running.
Now test and see how it behaves, you might want to look at your Routers setting to see if you can reserve an IP address for the EDGE and the Android controller device.

Thanks Seppi, I tried rebooting everything last night, but saw the same issue this morning. I was already using reserved IPs so that wouldn't have been the issue.
I've now reset the router and will see if that improves matters

In the Android setting app have a look at the BluOS entry and see if there are any setting regarding local network device and make sure it’s turned on, a bit vague as I don’t use Android unfortunately.
