Sony connectivity issues with Bluesound sounbars

I read a lot of problems when someone wants to connect a Bluesound soundbar with their Sony TV (via eHDMI). I am experiencing the same issues. I unplug the HDMI and power from the soundbar and then reconnect. Not iDEAL, but it works. My question: apart from Sony, are there any other Brands with these issues???. My TV is up for replacement in the next year or so.
