Mute Issue on Pulse M
AnsweredHello
I've added a Pulse M stereo pair to my Bluesound/Roon environment. My existing system consists of: Vault2, Soundbar & sub, Pulse Flex (2 stereo pairs) Pulse M (stereo pair), Node, and a Pulse. I'm having an issue with my Pulse M configured as a stereo pair. All of these units are allegedly Roon Ready.
The issue I'm having is with the Pulse M, which is also configured as a stereo pair. When attempting to mute the Pulse M within the Roon environment, only one of the stereo pair will mute. The other half does not mute. A factory reset did not solve the problem. In fact, the factory reset only caused the problem to transpose from one unit to the other. The mute function, however, does in fact work when working within the Bluesound app, which I don't use because I am on Roon. Initially believing the issue was with Roon, I submited a support request to Roon. Roon support replied that the issue is not with Roon and that the source of the problem is with the Bluesound firmware -- which they reminded me was supposed to be Roon Ready -- and apparently it's not.
My investment in Bluesound was based on its integration with Roon, as well as the fact that I am, overall, pleased with the Bluesound equipment in which I'm well experienced. The mute-related firmware bug, however, is problematic and deeply disappointing.
Is there a fix for this issue, or does Bluesound have any plans to address this issue with a firmware update?
Thanks kindly for any and all support!
Best,
Kevin
