Support confirms that this is an issue! The mentioned workaround below did not help and from experience we know that an 'upcoming firmware update' can take months at Bluesound... :(

Following discussions with our Engineering team regarding this volume difference issue, they have replicated the issue in our labs. Our Engineering team will conduct further investigation and provide a fix for this issue in an upcoming firmware update.

Unfortunately, we in technical support do not receive timelines for future development and releases, so I cannot provide a definite date for when this update will be available. Nevertheless, please be assured that our Engineering team is diligently working to resolve this issue as promptly as possible.

As a workaround, you will have to remove the volume limits of the Soundbar+. To do so, unpair the Sub+ first, then go to Settings > Audio > Volume Limits and set the minimum volume to -90 dB and maximum to 0 dB then re-pair them. Do this for the other players in your home theater group. This should fix the issue however, this also means that the soundbar can go up to max volume so you will have to be cautious when bringing up the volume rapidly.
