NAD M10v1 – Intermittent audio dropouts and choppy sound at startup
AnsweredHello BluOS Support Team, I am writing to report a recurring issue with my NAD M10 amplifier.
I have been using the unit since around March 2021, and for some time I have intermittently experienced unstable audio, particularly shortly after powering on the device.
The main symptoms are as follows: * When playback starts after the unit has been in standby, the audio becomes choppy or stutters for approximately the first 20–40 seconds.
* This issue occurs across multiple input sources, including BluOS network streaming, wired LAN playback, and Bluetooth.
* After some time, or after power cycling the unit by fully disconnecting and reconnecting the power cable, playback usually returns to normal.
* A factory reset temporarily improves the situation, but the issue eventually reappears.
* The BluOS firmware is currently updated to the latest version, 4.10.11. Because this behavior also occurs during Bluetooth playback, it does not appear to be solely related to network conditions. I suspect it may be related to internal processing, DSP behavior, or power initialization during startup.
I have also noticed that when I completely disconnect the power cable instead of relying on standby mode, the issue sometimes does not occur, at least temporarily.
Could you please let me know if this is a known issue with the NAD M10, and whether there are any recommended settings, diagnostics, or firmware-related actions I should try?
If servicing or repair is recommended, I would appreciate guidance on the next steps. Thank you for your time and support.
