NAD T778 no sound from BluOS unless TV is on and switched first
AnsweredI’m experiencing an issue with my NAD T778 (BluOS) in the living room.
After watching TV (Netflix, Humax or live TV), I turn the NAD off. When the NAD is turned off, the TV also turns off. Later, when I want to listen to music and add the T778 to a multiroom group (kitchen and office), BluOS shows that music is playing, but there is no sound from the T778.
The only way I can make it work is the following sequence:
I power on the NAD again, which also turns the TV on.
I start on any video source so the NAD is active.
Then I switch the NAD to a BluOS/music source. At that moment, the TV turns off and I immediately hear the music from the selected BluOS source.
After that, I can add the NAD to the multiroom group and everything works as expected.
If I skip this and try to start BluOS playback after the NAD has been turned off, the NAD remains silent even though BluOS indicates playback.
So it appears that the NAD needs to be activated on a video source first before switching to BluOS, otherwise no audio is produced.
Has anyone else experienced this, or found a solution other than this workaround?
