    Hi Hauge

On The N331, select Settings from the Home Page...

Under Player, Audio Settings, enable the Centre Channel. When Dolby Content is playing you will get teh Centre channel. When it is 2.1 audio you will not get the centre channel as there is no center channel audio...

You can turn on Stereo Surround to create a false upmix. I personally keep Stereo Surround off.

Any problems, please select Settings, Send Support Request.

    Hi-Res

I don’t have a N331 but yes have read you need surround on, also you need to check the source is sending surround and not just 2ch pcm.

No you should not need to enable the "Stereo surround" option to get any sound out of center. If your source audio is surround, the N331 should use the center channel, with "stereo surround" setting turned off.

The "stereo surround" option is needed (as the name implies) for when you want stereo sound sources to be upmixed by the N331 to some virtual surround.

If your center channel is not working at all there's probably something wrong with your N331? Make sure you have the "center channel" option enabled in BluOS though.

Thanks for the reply! To be clear I get sound when stereo surround is enabled, so the centre is connected and recognized by the Powernode.
I’ve gotten some suggestions that I have to enable Dolby or DTS on in my TVs settings but, my old Sony oled only has auto or PCM (which is enabled). I’m streaming from a Apple TV 4K btw.
Is there any way I can check the audio source on my ATV?

On your tv I would change the hdmi audio setting to "Auto". If you set the TV hdmi audio setting to PCM it will probably convert any incoming (surround)sound to 2.0 stereo PCM.

When set on "Auto" it will probably decode and passthrough surround sound to your N331.

I know there is a bug for Netflix on streaming boxes like ATV and Chromecasts where it will just play stereo even if the episode audiosettings in Netflix says it's 5.1 surround. I have the same issue on my Google Streamer.

    Thanks for the advice!
I think I figured it out. By setting my TVs audio to auto and forcing audio format to Dolby digital 5.1 on my Apple TV I get dialogue out of the centre channel! Just like I used to with my AVR. Happy days

@tony how does the upcoming enhanced stereo compare to stereo surround? What I'm looking for is a solution that keeps left/right untouched. Perhaps just a mono output for the center.
