Vault 2i solid Red LED Lights after rebooting
Hello!
I have a Vault 2i. I was removing some files from the disk on the Vault 2i when I realized I had removed too many files. No problem, I was thinking, because I did a backup via the Vault 2i interface before I started manipulating the files.
I invoked the backup program through the Vault 2i interface, and selected "Restore". I got a message stating that this would not remove any files already in the library. So then I decided to delete all the files on the Vault 2i before starting the restore again.
I did this, and then decided to reboot the Vault 2i (a soft reboot via the reboot button under the Diagnostics area of the interface.
After a time, I noticed the Vault did not re-appear in the players list. I looked at the Vault 2i and both LEDs were glowing a steady red color. I then tried to hard reboot it by removing power for a minute, then plugging it back in. Same result - steadily glowing Red LED lights. I saw a support note that indicates this means it is in "Upgrade" mode, which does not make any sense because it already had the latest update.
At this point, I can no longer get the Vault 2i to boot - it just sits there, steady red LED lights. Where did I go wrong? Is this some type of hardware failure?

It turns out that my unit is dead, after confirming with support. I think the key indicator was when we determined my unit is not even attempting to obtain an IP address to connect to the network. I have ordered a new unit... This unit definitely served its time, I think I ripped over 5,000 CDs with it!
