M33 - Balance control screen
Since I've had my NAD M33 I've never looked at or used the Balance Control screen ("Settings/Player/Balance") using either the front panel display or via the Android app. Upon doing so yesterday I find that the adjustments slide from -6db on the left to +6db on the right channel with 0db positioned in the middle of the slider, all good so far. But when I slide to the left or to the right I can still hear a reduced form of sound in the opposite side to that which I have moved the slider. Having been used to analogue rotary controls in the past where, upon turning completely to one side or the other that 'off' side is completely silent - not so with my M33.
I have checked all cable connections to ensure that I haven't crossed the + or - upon connection to the speakers or amp but all is as should be.On normal 0db position all music 'appears' to be in solid stereo but I wonder... is this inability to completely mute one channel normal or existing this way for a reason? or has something gone awry in my M33?
Thanks
