Portable Node as a DAP
As a current BluOS ecosystem user I wish this would be implemented in an on-the-go device as the app has a far better user experience over existing DAPS and other third party apps on phones. Bluesound could create a great product based on the node nano but portable with wifi input only. A phone would provide the wifi hotspot and also enable BluOS control. I suggest retaining physical buttons for presets and a dial for volume control. The output would retain the existing bluetooth AptX adaptive - this addresses the majority of potential users who will have wireless headphones and IEMs. The portable node would obviously need an internal rechargeable battery but could also retain the 5V dc power input.
The BluOS app is already feature rich, the ability to access any streaming source, (as all existing users know) to be useful and satisfy most mobile users. If I am commuting on a daily basis, I am looking for a device with dependable streaming connection, no inbuilt speaker and interuptions from phone notifications, and one touch instant play of my favorite station or playlist - that is what is most important for a mobile music player, which most DAP and OTG audio manufacturers have no idea of.
