A huge request to the team - shooting in the speakers
Hi, I'd like to describe my situation regarding electrical popping in the speakers.
I have a new Nad c379 system with a Bluos D module. I also have an SVS subwoofer connected. I configured Dirac with a full (extended) license. Everything works fine in streaming applications. Then I tried to connect my TV/Nvidia Shield Pro via an HDMI eArc cable. I experienced intermittent popping/pops in the speakers on both the HDMI and optical inputs of the amplifier. I tried various things, changing cables (HDMI, optical), changing the sound settings on the TV, switching from Nvidia to PCM. To no avail, the popping continued. The software is up to date, all updates are up to date. I even connected another TV via HDMI. I tried enabling and disabling Dirac in the Bluos Controller app, also to no avail. I thought there was a ground loop, that the popping was happening in the speakers. The popping continued in the speakers. I thought there was a problem with the amplifier. I wanted to return it. I ran out of ideas. I searched the internet and asked questions in the GPT chat. Nothing, no response.
But I managed to solve the problem, by accident.
First, I disabled the fact that my system doesn't have a subwoofer in the app. That was the cause – the pops from the speakers on the HDMI input finally stopped while watching TV or the Nvidia Shield Pro.
I'd like the team to look into this issue. There's information on your website or instructions about this issue. Ideally, it would be possible to disable DIRAC for the HDMI input. So that I don't have to disable DIRAC in the app before enabling the HDMI input.
Please help. Regards.
