Alpha iQ Red Light on Secondary Speaker
AnsweredI bought a set of refurbished Alpha iQs and during the set up, got a "Update Failed" message during the Verification portion of the update. This in turn caused the secondary speaker to go to a solid red light in which no amount of factory resetting would clear it. Support told me it was likely a hardware issue and I began the refund process.
Wanting to avoid further issue, I opted to pay for a brand new set of speakers instead of opting for the refurbs again. I got the brand new set today and while setting them up, the same exact thing happened. The update hung on the Verification stage for about 30-45min until it failed and left the secondary speaker once again bricked with a red light. I find it hard to believe this is again a hardware issue and more so to do with the update and potentially my wifi set up? In both cases I wasnt using a hardline for the set up.
I submitted another support ticket but figure I should mention it here if there is a known solution? Is it possible to use the Service USB to force the FW update or something? I really dont want to have to return these again for a second time in one week.
