NAD C389 switches itself ON
AnsweredAfter updating the BluOS firmware my NAD C389 with MDC 2 BluOS D card switches On 15 seconds after toggling the power on/off rocker switch.
This did not occur before the update, the amp would stay in standby.
I did perform factory reset of the BluOS module as well as of the amplifier itself.
Anyone else seeing this?

Hi Manusz,
Double check your inputs and see if it is waking up the player with autosense. If issue persists, please reach out to our support crew by sending us an email at support@nadelectronics.com. -
After some poking around I found it is caused by Network Standby.
When Network Standby is set to Off the amplifier does stay in Standby when mains power is applied.
When Network Standby is set to On the amplifier turns itself on 15 seconds after mains power is applied.
This occurs even when the router is switched off!Seems like a bug to me, introduced with a recent update of BluOS.
Am I really the only one seeing this?

I had the same problem with a C379.
Bluesound managed to reproduce the problem and is supposed to fix it in an update. For me, it was TIDAL that was waking up the amp. I uninstalled TIDAL and only used the Connect app.
It no longer wakes up the amp. However, I still have a bug... The player stops intermittently (disconnecting from Tidal or Spotify). I think it's related because it doesn't happen if I disable network standby.
