Connecting a REL sub

Is there any concern with my PowerNode using the high level connection that REL recommends? I read something about not using the high level (speaker terminal) to run a REL sub.

  Hi James,

  We recommend using the Sub Out on your POWERNODE, as this is the connection designed for subwoofers and will provide the best performance and compatibility.

  If you prefer to use the high-level (speaker-level) connection as REL suggests, you can try connecting the two positive (“+”) leads and only one speaker ground. In most cases, this setup works without issue, but if you notice any distortion on the channel without a ground connection, you’ll need to switch back to using the Sub Out instead.
