    Hi Marco

Having your TV Mirror your phone or tablet is reliant on your handheld device and TV. Not really a BluOS thing.

As for the lyrics, it has been passed along for future consideration.

Any way to support casting via Chromecast or other smart cast mode with current hardware? Most smart TVs today are capable of this. It would be great to have the BluOS app cast to a screen.

Mirroring will just mirror whatever is on the phone at the time. You wouldn't be able to leave the app and keep the info on the screen.

Not having on-screen was one of my negatives for the Vault 2i. In a version "3i" adding HDMI support for on-screen or possibly video (Tidal music videos, cover art, album/song info) would be awesome.

  • Thanks for the feedback Sean - Casting is far more complicated than that from conversations with our Product Development Team as it comes with a number of requirements. The HDMI out you describe is available with our Sister Brand NAD Electronics on their BluOS enabled AVR Lineup but the HDMI on the POWERNODE and SOUNDBAR in the foreseeable future of BluOS products will remain an Audio Return Channel only. We have heard some customers with Android-based SmartTVs having modest success running the BluOS App on them - though there are some calling issues on large TVs.

Thanks for the feedback, it has been passed along for future consideration but really mirroring is the fastest and easist solution for this request.

Thanks, Tony. I know things often seem "easy" to implement if it's in so many consumer electronics. But I know there's a lot behind the scenes. Would be an awesome feature for sure. My friends love music videos. Me, I'm OK with just listening and enjoying!

You've given me an idea on the Android thing. Wondering if it can be installed on a Firestick with downloader via apk...

I've also suggested/asked several times that they simply fork their Android app so it works on FireTV.  (Currently, it will load using developer options, and I can get it to work, but the screen interaction is not fully functional).

I would also like to be able to view the BluOS app on my big screen TV while playing music on my "entertainment" center!  Who the heck wants to be passing around a cell phone at a party just so folks can see whats playing?  Its a shame they don't see the value in this...  :-(

I have been debating tossing my SONOS stuff in favor of a full BLUOS "upgrade" but I'm simply not going to do that if they are not going to be responsive to requests like this...
