Best way to connect an av receiver to NAD M33?
AnsweredAt then moment I am using one set of front speakers with both my M33 and Marantz av receiver, but as there is no ht passthrough in the M33 I use a speaker switch.
But I would like to use the excellent amplifier in the M33 as a poweramp with the ht setup and at the same time loose the speaker switch.
I can of course connect the pre out from the receiver to a rca input on the M33 but then I would manually have to switch input, maximize the volume and turn of dirac on the M33 to take full use of the receivers functions.
Thinking if there might be a way to use the hdmi input in some way.
Anyway WE NEED A HT PASSTHROUGH FUNCTION ON THE M33, for example the Arcam SA30 has a function to set one input as a direct passthrough without dirac and tone controls.

Thanks for the feedback Magnus - You are right that the M33 does not support Home Theatre Bypass - I have passed it along to our Team for review and consideration but right now unsure if this can be done in a future software release or is hardware-specific.
In the meantime - though not a BluOS supported device as it is pure hardware, our good friends at NAD Electronics would probably want me to mention the NAD M28 here - a 7 channel AV Poweramp also built on the Eigentakt platform.
