NAD M33 Balanced Input How to setup or adjust input signal
AnsweredNAD M33 Serial Number H20YM3301850. So far till new M33, I have used a Cambridge Audio CXN V2 connected with an XLR cable to the Creek Evolution 100A with no problems. However, when I connected the Cambridge Audio CXN V2 with balanced XLR cable (Chord Shawline) in to the the M33, there was a distortion when listening music from this source. Since there is nothing written about XLR in the User manual!!!, I started looking for settings. The source appear as Balanced In on BluOS. The only option I found is to set Analog Gain to -12dB in Front Panel (Source Setup, Analog Gain). However, after this setting, everything from the CXN V2 became very quiet compared to the other inputs (CD Player). Distortions have been reduced, but I personally think this is too much of a reduction. I think another better option should be -6dB or -8dB but this is not possible-no option. I kindly ask for instructions on how to connect an external device with a balanced cable so that no distortion is heard when playing music.
Best Regards
