External MQA DAC
AnsweredHi,
I have a Topping D90 MQA dac which I want to use with my Node2i and Tidal Connect.
When checking MQA External DAC in BluOS Controller app for having my D90 MQA doing all unfolding, I am unable to ear a difference.
Topping dac indicates this is not a MQA file. Just "PCM 44.1Khz."
When unchecking "MQA External DAC", Topping displays: "PCM 88.2Khz."
I am suspecting that when unchecking "MQA external DAC" first unfold is done by the Node and no MQA decoding is done when checking MQA external DAC.
Do you have an idea what happens?
Thanks

Hi Thierry
MQA External DAC should be ON (white circle to right with blues shading). If you are connected via Optical out of the NODE all processing should be on your third party DAC. I'd contact them to ensure everything is connected properly and there is no missing switch at their end.
