Did the audiooutput setting maybe change? Did you check if it is still at 2CH PCM and external audio?

Thank you Stefan Mehre.. I did not change audio output . It is still 2ch pcm. This morning i try to change cable from optical to analog 3.5 mm jack. and use headphone audio output TV.  It  is work. Only optical input was error.

As a side note, I was having a similar problem connecting the Node 2i to my LG TV. I thought I had "eliminated a variable" as the Toslink cord I was using had the red light shining through and properly operated an inexpensive DAC I had connected to the TV optical output.  In fact, the cord was the problem.  Apparently, the Node 2i is very particular about the quality optical signal received.  I replaced the cord and the Node 2i operated perfectly.  I also found out that the Toslink connection at the TV is also very important.  Even if the cord is "snapped" into place (and the red light shines through), if the cord has any pull up or down at the TV, that can be enough to effect the qualify of signal and cause the Node 2i not to connect.

I would like to thank Ken for your "side note" which turns out solve my problem. I thought my optical cable was doing alright as it works perfectly with other device, and turns out i use a new optical cable and new adaptor for the 3.5 mm optical/minitoslink input, it works! To all people having similar problem even you have tried all the setting recommended, please try a different cable.

Interesting! Ken and Marco, do you happen to remember the make/model of the optical cables that didn't work with the Bluesound player vs the make/model of the ones that did?

It was a top-of-the-line Monoprice cable.  I returned the cable and the replacement Monoprice cable worked fine.

I also had failure on Node optical in. The Toslink supplied with the Node was the problem. Swapped that for Toslink I got with Blue Sound Pulse Flex 2i speaker and Node optical burst into life.

Both Toslinks look similar and possibly are the same.
Looks like the Node input is too sensitive / flaky.

I just purchased the Bluesound Node, and I have the exact same problem with the optical input... I have it connected to my DVD player and DVD player set for 2 channel PCM for playing CDs.. When I connect it to the Node, all I get is a spinning circle around the play button on the app, but if connect that exact same cable to my stereo, the optical input is fine, and the audio plays back as it should. I have another cable on order just to verify the second cable will or will not work ..If not, it will be going back.
