Vault 2 connection problems: Open Support Ticket
AnsweredHi all. I have the problem described below. Had submitted it to zendesk earlier this week but they seem overwhelmed and I haven't been able to speak to anyone. So maybe one of you can help me??? Description is below. Thank you all in advance.
----------------
We built a new home and a media closet to house everything. When I installed the Vault 2, which we've had a number of years now, I got it all connected to hardwired ethernet downloaded any firmware I needed to and fired it up. Worked fine for a week. Then it got to where our Bluesound phone apps would lose connection with it and it would be difficult to get them reconnected. First noticed it downstairs, and checked signals through the access points. All good. Same way we had it set up at old house. All on one network. Network is extended with Netgear Orbi mesh.
Tonight it lost connections again. And I haven't been able to get it to reconnect to any iOS device at all. BTW---it never does show up as available WiFi device in the WiFi menu either which I thought it would do.

HI Allen
The issue you are seeing is multicast traffic being blocked from allowing the Players to communicate with your App. Check your Netgear Orbi settings and ensure multicast traffic is being allowed and that IGMP Snooping settings are not interfering.
For a more detailed response than that you will either have to wait for one of our Network Specialists to reach out to you during this busy Holiday Season or contact Netgear support.
