Distortion on 2i Soundbar

In the last week or so I've noticed distortion coming from my 2i  Soundbar. It seems to come through with content that is low mid/upper low frequencies. NPR radio voices make the distortion most noticeable.

I don't notice it all the time, but source does not seem to matter. I hear it when watching TV with HDMI input, listening to news over Airplay or playing music from Tidal. It does not catch my ear 100% of the time. 

It sounded like something close to the speaker vibrating, but I don't see anything that could be the culprit. I'll try relocating the speaker and see if the issue persists.

Has anyone else had similar issues? Any suggestions on troubleshooting?

  Hello Jason, 

  While you relocate to test, I would also recommend resetting the Audio settings (such as the Listening Modes etc) to see if that helps. You should be able to do this under Settings > Player > Audio > Reset All.

  The next time you find the distortion occurs, send our support crew a diagnostics (Help > Send Support Request, log is automatically attached) so they may check if this is software-related.
